Kevin has been a coach with OTF South Surrey since Hell Week (October) of 2017. What a time to start his OTF career! His background is in banking, having worked in commercial real estate finance for nearly 10 years, before coming to a fitness epiphany of his own. Having adapted to a more sedentary lifestyle, he decided to participate in a physical transformation challenge which not only transformed his health and fitness, but his career as well.
Since then, he transitioned into the fitness industry, obtaining his ACE Personal Training certification as well as numerous other certifications including TRX and Kettlebell. Besides coaching at OTF South Surrey, his focus is on specializing on rehabilitative exercise and behavioural change, seeking a deeper understanding of members, how their bodies move and their “why” for being active.
Outside of the studio, Kevin enjoys being on two wheels, telling dad jokes, and stumping members in class with riddles.
Studio manager Colin has grown with the company Orangetheory Fitness in South Surrey since January 2017. Prior to that, he finished courses to achieve his diploma in Business Management at Kwantlen Polytechnic University whilst working low-end jobs on the side to pay for tuition costs. The work experience built ethic, the schooling provided an understanding and now Orangetheory Fitness has given Colin an opportunity to apply these skills and build up new ones. Overall, an effective work/life balance are crucial towards having a clear mind to make assertive decisions in a booming and thriving industry.
Exercise, team sports and overall health and wellness have always been held highly by Colin in his day-to-day since he was young. He started in a competitive environment playing against better opponents in sports and Colin learned early on in life the only way to get ahead of others is to practice hard in his spare time. This will cultivate the virtues of self-discipline and determination that are later applied to his adulthood in the realm of fitness. Staying on top of your physical game can be quite the challenge, but the self-satisfaction of completing goals and reaching targets is all the incentive he needs to push further and train harder than before. He burns for a long, healthy and active life he can be proud of.
Kendrick is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer with a Graduate in Sport Sciences. Seeing individuals accomplish their personal and fitness goals is what makes his day. Motivating and sharing his energy with others is what he loves to do. Besides fitness, Kendrick and his wife enjoy travelling to different countries. For downtime, he enjoys cooking at home and dining out at different restaurants.
